First of all, i would like to introduce myself.
Me, Indonesian from Pekanbaru and currently working in Singapore.
This blog are mainly about "Gojek" as appeared on my blog title.
Some of you might curious, what is Gojek? Especially those who are not Indonesian.
Ok errmmm "Ojek" . Ojek is what we call for taxi in general however,
instead of car, Ojek offer services using motorbike. Their services are
totally same to Taxi. They will drive you to the place you are going to.
Jakarta have nearly 10M population and 50% of them are those migrate from
out of Jakarta, we named it "Perantau". Many of them are working and
study on Jakarta, and public transport are used hugely by them.
Ojek might be one of the best choice as they offer not-so-expensive and efficient as we can avoid super long jam especially for those who are rushin'.
Ojek offer 15,000 IDR - 70,000 IDR (normally). Its about 1.5S$ - 7S$. Its affordable! Yes it is.
"Gojek" is a very recent business for ojek in Jakarta. As known, Gojek owner, Nadiem Makarim, he is alumni from Harvard University and he is Indonesian too! (proudproud). He start this business after his short conversation to one of ojek driver. Most of ojek driver spent 70% of their time to wait for order and also spent on long jam too. Go-Jek Indonesia starts on early 2015 with the apps "GOJEK" which easy to download on any smartphone.
Gojek offering 1 flat rate for distance below 25 km. It's IDR 10,000 ( S$1 )
With this apps, it helps alot because driver will simply receive order using their smartphone, they simply need to update using GPS on their current location and whenever there's order around the location where they are waiting, they will just need to press receive order and take the order.
Me, too excited when i knew about this Gojek, me quickly book my tickets to Jakarta to try on their services! I downloaded their apps and order using this app. One word, EASY ! Once you type in your location to pick up and your destination place and click Order, your phone will be called by nearest driver to make sure your order and inform you that they will reach by about 3-5 minutes. It's quick! They also provide us with face mask and hair cover whenever you are using their services, and most importatntly, HELMET ! Please wear your helmet, its for our own safety.
My second trip using gojek when i order to pick me from Thamrin City to Karet Pedurenan. Gojek driver name is Wahyu. We do some chitchat along the way. Wahyu is an uni student who take Gojek as his part time job, he work on weekend and during his free time. From my conversation with him, he mentioned that the balance from the fare that we pay ($1 flat rate) are being paid by PT Gojek Indonesia to driver. For the mobile phone, they are given 1 smartphone everytime they register with Gojek and they pay back by deduct from their order. For mobile phone top up (pulsa) is paid by themselves.

Side from transport services, Gojek are also have Go-Food services. Go-Food allow us to choose food/drinks we want to, and Gojek will help us to go and grab the food and deliver directly to our home.
This are really help us especially those who are visiting Jakarta and didn't know where to find the food, Gojek will help you to pay it first and when he/she deliver to you, only then you pay them back.
Gojek Indonesia also provide courier services. They name it Instant Courier. they will help you to collect any thing like document, key, and anything you might need them to help you to collect it. They will deliver it directly to us too.
Me, totally AMAZED with their services.
Honestly, where else in the world you can find on this kind of services? other than Indonesia?
